Important notice for Cherry Blossom,

Shiba-Zakura Festivals

We kindly ask for your understanding following information in advance.

I can show more hidden, not crowded places in this area. There are great viewing spots, not human-made spots around the lakes, I’m confident that I can make your day even on a rainy day, even if you cannot see Mt.Fuji.

About the Chureito Pagoda (Arakurayama Sengen Park)

The cherry blossom season is about April 5-20 in the Fuji Five Lakes area. It depends on the year but it looks getting earlier these years.

I will take you to some great spots for cherry blossom during the season, however, I would like to let you know we can’t include the Chureito Pagoda, which is a very famous place. There are traffic regulations during the cherry blossom season so we can’t go there by car.

Although I can pick you up at the beginning of the tour or drop you off at Shimon-Yoshida station, about 10 minutes away on foot. It's 4 stops from Kawaguchiko by train.

Just for your information, there will be a crazy long waiting line to get the position for the famous photo.

About the Shiba-Zakura (Pink Moss-Phlox) Festival

The famous, popular flower festival “Fuji Shibazakura Festival” is held between the middle of April and the middle of May.

(There is no info for this year on their official website at this moment, Jan.15)

It’s near Motosuko Lake, about 30 minutes driving distance from Kawaguchiko, however, my tour doesn't go to this Shiba-Zakura Festival. There is always a super long traffic jam all the way there especially in the peak season and it could take 2-4 hours. Especially during the first week of May, when there are long national holidays(Golden Week) in Japan then the traffic jams are crazy. I can say it will be almost impossible to make it as a day trip from Tokyo, or just visiting there in a rush.

I understand some people would like to see it, but there will be no point in taking my tour, since it will be just a pricy long stuck driving. And I’m not a taxi driver and not allowed to do that kind of tour/driving people.

Just for information, I picked some reviews about the traffic to get there;
