The Fuji Five Lakes (富士五湖, Fujigoko) region is lake resort located at the northern foot of Japan’s highest mountain -Mount Fuji about 1,000 meters above sea level.

　It is best place for viewing Mount Fuji from a close distance and can be seen well balanced shape than other places. The mount Fuji from ocean side(Shizuoka) is well known in general, but it can be said the other side, Fuji Five Lakes side(Yamanashi) is also much more beautiful, enjoyable area.

　The area is surrounded by beautiful nature, and it attracts visitors from around the world with its ever-changing colors and scenes of flowers, new greens, red leaves and snowy landscapes throughout the seasons.
